We will advise you which stones are most suitable for the application that they are to be used for, allowing you to mix style with durability.

For example, if you were lookng for a worktop then Granite is one of the most suitable stones. It is dense, hard wearing, does not scratch easily and withstands heat. Whereas if you look at other stones like Limestone, Marble or Travertine, although they look nice they are not as strong as Granite. Although some problems can be overcome, like treating the stone to protect from spillages, some problems are more difficult - sutch as etching from acidic materials.

Although the desicion is ultimatley up to yourselves we would advise against them for this particular application as we would not be able to guarantee its durability. In othe situations they can be fine, and Granite would be less suitable - it all depends what it will be used for.
